VICT joins PH Independence Day celebration

Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) participated in a reception hosted by the Consulate General of the Philippines in Melbourne to mark the 128th anniversary of Philippine independence and the 80th year of diplomatic and trade relations between Australia and the Philippines.

As the event’s principal sponsor, VICT supports the longstanding partnership between the two countries. During the event, Jorge Gonzalez Mateu, VICT chief financial officer, highlighted that VICT represents the largest investment by a Philippine company in Australia through its parent company, ICTSI, and emphasized the terminal's contribution to Victoria's economy and international trade.

The reception was attended by Consul General Jesus Gary Domingo, members of the Victorian Parliament, government officials and representatives of the Filipino-Australian community.
