Durban Gateway Terminal (DGT) is South Africa’s leading container terminal, serving the needs of Southern Africa’s vibrant economies. 

DGT is a state-of-the-art terminal, with ship-to-shore cranes and straddle carriers with a capacity to handle up to 3 million containers. 

The terminal connects to South Africa’s high-quality road and rail network to a wide hinterland including the mining, agricultural and manufacturing heartlands of South Africa as well as neighboring countries Lesotho, Eswatini, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique.
