ICTSI hosts PH President, First Lady on landmark visits to Australia’s most advanced container terminal

Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT), International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) Australian business unit at the Port of Melbourne, welcomed His Excellency Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, on back-to-back visits on 4 and 5 March. President Marcos and his wife toured the only fully automated container terminal in the southern hemisphere and symbol of the Philippines’ significant investment in Australian infrastructure.

The First Couple were welcomed by Enrique K. Razon Jr., ICTSI chairman and president, and his wife Lizzy Razon; Christian R. Gonzalez, ICTSI executive vice president; and Bruno Porchietto, VICT chief executive officer.

The First Lady visited the terminal on 4 March together with Filipino business leaders Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, Ayala Corporation chairman; Sabin Aboitiz, Aboitiz Equity Ventures president and chief executive officer; Atty. Michael Toledo, Chamber of Mines of the Philippines chairman; and George Barcelon, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman.

President Marcos, on the other hand, was accompanied by Philippine House Speaker Martin Romualdez; Kevin Tan, Alliance Global Group and Megaworld chief executive officer; Alejandro Tengco, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation president and chief executive officer; and Rafael Toda, Australia-Philippines Business Council president.
