Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana (OPC) donated over 40 desks to the Maria Mazzarello School in San Pedro Sula, Cortes, last 21 February.

The donation aims to support students by helping the school establish a conducive and more comfortable learning environment.

“We know that everything that is done in this school has a very noble purpose.  For that reason, we support and want to be part of this project,” said Meyvi Castañeda, OPC Corporate Social Responsibility Manager.

Founded in 1966 by Sister Amalia Argüello together with former students from the María Auxiliadora institute, the Maria Mazzarello School is home to around 250 kindergarten and grade seven students from low income families.
