MICT employees receive free vitamins

The Manila International Container Terminal is giving employees free vitamin C to help boost their immune systems in light of the current health crisis.

Launched on 17 August, the free vitamins program provides rank and file employees with a monthly supply of vitamin C, which they can claim at the health and wellness clinic.

“Vitamin C, combined with good nutrition, healthy lifestyle and adherence to proper health protocols at work can help us protect ourselves from COVID-19,” said Dr. Raymund Joseph Airoso, MICT Health and Wellness Manager.

Aside from distributing free vitamins, the Company also distributed the first batch of eyeglasses for employees on 20 August. A total of 50 employees received anti-glare, sun protect single/double vision glasses with blue light protection.  The remaining 53 pairs were distributed on 27 August, with another batch of employees scheduled to undergo eye checkups on the second week of September.

MICT’s Health and Wellness Team also encourages more rank and file employees to participate in the Hypertension and Diabetes Management program. Launched in June, the program aims to help employees manage their conditions by providing health advise and maintenance medications.
