BGT strengthens cybersecurity

Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT), in collaboration with the ICTSI Global IT department, has implemented new cybersecurity measures to strengthen the protection of its digital infrastructure and support the continuity of terminal operations.

As part of the initiative, BGT has introduced continuous vulnerability scanning to monitor its terminal network in real time. The system identifies software vulnerabilities, allowing potential issues to be addressed before they affect operational systems.

BGT also implemented enhanced security measures for employee-issued devices. These include hardware audits, automated software patching, hardware integrity checks, and threat detection across laptops and mobile devices to help ensure access to BGT’s network.

The implementation was carried out with support from Global IT, which provided BGT with centralized cybersecurity tools and oversight to strengthen the terminal’s digital security.
