SBITC celebrates HSE month

Subic Bay International Terminals (SBITC), as part of the celebration of the Health, Safety and Environment Month last September, organized an exhibit showcasing aspects of the terminal’s HSE initiatives.

Edmundo Trazo, ICTSI HSSE Global Director, was present at the exhibit together with guests from SBMA Labor, Seaport, Ecology Center, and Fire and Rescue Department. Visitors from Manila Water Company also graced the event.

A highlight of the exhibit was a mural featuring activities in the terminal with a family photo at the center. The mural symbolizes families as the main reason for the terminal’s firm commitment to safety and to ensuring that all employees are able to go home to their families every day.

SBITC celebrates HSE month yearly to emphasize the importance of HSE engagement among employees. It also serves as a platform for showcasing the company’s efforts and commitment to uphold safe work practices. This year’s theme May Malasakit Ako (I care) represents SBITC’s passion for always maintaining a safe work environment for employees.

SBITC’s commitment to workplace safety never wanes and is echoed by the tagline Ikaw, ako, safe dapat (You and I should be safe), which serves as a reminder to employees that everyone is responsible for ensuring safety at work.
