Razon Group foundations formalize green partnership


 

The ICTSI Foundation joined other corporate foundations under the Razon Group to formalize a partnership focused on sustainability and community development initiatives.

The memorandum of understanding, signed May 22 at La Mesa Eco Park, brought together six foundations: ICTSI Foundation, Bloomberry Cultural Foundation Inc., Manila Water Foundation, Mindoro Biodiversity Conservation Foundation Inc., Malampaya Foundation Inc., and Prime Infra Foundation Inc.

Filipina Laurena, ICTSI Foundation executive director, was among the signatories, together with Donato Almeda, Bloomberry Cultural Foundation president; Arnold Mortera, Manila Water Foundation board member; and Sandy Alipio, Prime Infra Foundation chief financial officer, who also represented Malampaya Foundation and Mindoro Biodiversity Conservation Foundation.

Under the agreement, the foundations will coordinate programs on biodiversity conservation, water stewardship, sustainable livelihood, environmental education, climate resilience and research.

The signing coincided with the International Day for Biological Diversity. Activities were held at La Mesa Eco Park to promote environmental awareness among employees.  Participating foundations also set up booths to present their programs and products.
