Puerto Aguadulce handles largest Evergreen vessel to call Colombia

Evergreen’s Tampa Triumph at Puerto Aguadulce

Sociedad Puerto Industrial Aguadulce (Puerto Aguadulce) recently welcomed the Tampa Triumph, the largest Evergreen container vessel to call a Colombian port. Measuring 365.9 meters long and 51.2 meters wide, the ship features a nominal capacity of 14,000 TEUs.

The call last August reflects Puerto Aguadulce’s investment in infrastructure and technology to accommodate the larger vessels operating in the region. 

“The arrival of Tampa Triumph at Puerto Aguadulce not only represents a major technical challenge successfully overcome, but also confirms that we are prepared with the appropriate infrastructure to respond to the major challenges of global maritime transport,” explained Álvaro Otero, Puerto Aguadulce general manager. 

“Moving more cargo efficiently allows us to strengthen imports and exports, connecting the efforts of Colombia’s productive regions with the most demanding international markets.”
