East Java Multipurpose Terminal (EJMT) in Indonesia welcomed a delegation from the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta last November 28 for a detailed meeting and tour of the port facilities.

The Philippine Embassy delegation, represented by Maricar S. Yambao, second secretary and consul / head of the Economic Section; Janine Marielle M. Carolino Gonzalez, attache, economic assistant; and Salvador A. Garrovillas, attache, protocol officer, was hosted by Patrick Chan, EJMT chief executive officer, and Karl Saringan, EJMT chief finance officer.
The meeting highlighted EJMT’s terminal development and cargo handling capabilities which support bulk, loose, project, heavy lift cargo, and containers.
EJMT’s strategic location within the Java Sea provides a deep-water gateway for domestic and international cargo. With on-going investments from Jakamitra and their new 480-hectare I-Sentra industrial park located within two kilometers of the port, EJMT is well equipped to support the growing hinterland of customers.
