Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana (OPC) has been awarded the Socially Responsible Company (ESR) Seal by the Honduran Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (FUNDAHRSE) for the eighth consecutive year.

The recognition was based on the results of the IndiCARSE evaluation for the period of 2022 to 2023, which ranked OPC as one of the companies with the best management in responsible practices for the benefit of the Honduran people. The recognition is renewed every year for companies that meet the requirements established by FUNDAHRSE.

“Obtaining the ESR seal for the eighth consecutive year means that our work for the benefit of the community and the country is bearing fruit. OPC has evolved and it has increased support for the community, which it aims to reach through various social and community support programs that strategically focus on education, health and the environment,” explained Evelyn Leiva, OPC head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability.

“This recognition fills us with great pride and fuels our commitment to continue working on initiatives that promote support for shared value actions, which are key components of the company’s culture,” she added.

The official presentation of the award took place on 15 November at the Cortés Chamber of Commerce and Industries. More than 80 companies were recognized for their continuing contribution to the comprehensive and sustainable development of the country.
