OPC, ENP to strengthen Puerto Cortés position

Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana (OPC) and Empresa Nacional Portuaria (ENP) recently signed an interinstitutional cooperation framework agreement that will support the promotion and positioning of Puerto Cortés as a strategic port for Honduras and Central America.

Under the agreement, OPC and ENP will work together to support foreign direct investment, strengthen Honduran exports and enhance the country’s logistics competitiveness. The agreement will also focus on strengthening connectivity and creating opportunities for trade and economic development in Honduras.

The agreement was signed during ENP’s 60th anniversary celebration, attended by His Excellency Nasry Asfura, President of Honduras; Yaudet Burbara, ENP minister and other cabinet members. OPC was represented Javier Ramirez, chief executive officer.
