NorthPort, partners collab for coastal cleanup

NorthPort and several partners conducted a simultaneous clean-up activity last September 20 in celebration of International Coastal Clean-up Day and National Maritime Week. Their combined efforts resulted in the collection of 6.4 tons of waste from the coastline.

The activity gathered 130 volunteers from various organizations, including the Porters Association, Herstal Security, Philippine Ports Authority-Port Planning Division, Container Bridge Philippines, Inc., Prime Metro BMD Corporation, SMEC, Primepower PMS Network Inc., Iprudential, and several NorthPort departments such as NPIOU, WWU, HRAD, Engineering, IT, and Operations.

The initiative highlights the collective role of organizations and communities in the rehabilitation of Manila Bay and in the protection of marine ecosystems.
