Representatives from the national and international port communities attended the ceremony, including Hans-Ole Madsen, International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) regional head for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Wojciech Szymulewicz, BCT chief executive officer.
BCT at the Port of Gdynia is among the largest and most technologically advanced terminals in the Baltic Sea region. The terminal is a key node for intermodal transport between Scandinavia, Western Europe and Asia, catering to a wide range of containerized cargo and supporting Poland’s expanding maritime logistics sector.
In 2022, ICTSI signed a new 30-year lease extending BCT’s operation at the Port of Gdynia until 2053.
