MMT staff complete crane, winch operation training

Operations personnel of the Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT) have recently undergone training on safe ship crane maintenance and cargo watch/winch operations.

Conducted by Internship Navigation Training Center, Inc., the training is part of MMT’s continuing initiative to develop multi-skilled workers. The training sessions covered workplace hazards, employee responsibilities and safe operating procedures. Following the theoretical part of the training, participants moved to practical simulations that included basic crane operation, rope and sling handling, and standard hand signals.

MMT expects the training to strengthen operational safety and improve overall cargo handling efficiency.
