MMT highlights supply chain resilience at CICAC assembly
MMT Commercial Head Geraldine Santos
As cargo volumes grow, resilient port and logistics solutions are increasingly critical to keeping trade moving efficiently. Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT) highlighted how responsive port solutions, infrastructure investment and multimodal connectivity can strengthen supply chain resilience during the Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council’s (CICAC) 6th general assembly and 12th central meeting on August 6 at the Diamond Hotel in Manila.
Geraldine Santos, MMT commercial head highlighted four areas that support supply chain resilience across International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) network: port networks, infrastructure investment, inland multimodal solutions and diverse cargo-handling capabilities.
Santos also discussed MMT’s role as a multipurpose gateway serving different cargo requirements and developing handling solutions based on market needs.
She also emphasized the importance of cooperation between ICTSI, MMT and the Bureau of Customs in developing and implementing these solutions.
