MMT handles 2,000th vessel call

Manila Multipurpose Terminal (MMT) marked a milestone with the handling of its 2,000th vessel, the Ken Olive.

The milestone reflects the steady volume of vessel calls handled by MMT since it began operations, supported by coordination with shipping lines, agents, and terminal teams. The terminal continues to handle a range of cargo types even as it adjusts operations to meet specific customer requirements.

Mikkel Puyat, MMT chief executive officer, said the milestone highlights the terminal’s focus on service delivery and operational readiness. He noted that MMT will continue to improve its capabilities through equipment upgrades, process improvements, and digital initiatives to support customer needs.

Plaques were presented to the vessel operator Aris Shipping Co. Ltd., ship agent Philhua Shipping Inc., and vessel master Captain Emmanuel I. Andres to mark the occasion.
MMT remains focused on maintaining flexible and efficient operations as it serves more vessels in the years ahead.
