MMT donates mangroves in Sarangani

Manila Multipurpose Terminal donated 1,000 mangrove seedlings to the Protected Area Management Office–Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (PAMO-SBPS) in support of an International Earth Day mangrove‑growing activity in Barangay Taluya, Glan, Sarangani Province.

The activity brought together participants from the Department of Agriculture–Philippine Fisheries Development Authority, local barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials, South Cotabato Integrated Port Services Inc., and members of the Taluya community.

The mangrove‑growing effort will rehabilitate degraded coastal areas, strengthen riverbank stability, and protect shorelines from erosion and other environmental impacts.

The donation forms part of MMT’s support for community‑based environmental initiatives and its continued partnership with PAMO‑SBPS to promote sustainable coastal resource management.
