MICT memento chronicles ICTSI's journey

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. Chairman and President Enrique K. Razon Jr. was presented with the operator’s joystick from the recently decommissioned Quay Crane 1 – one of the oldest and most significant port equipment at the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT). Retired in 2019 after being in service for 30 years, the quay crane is a vital piece of ICTSI’s history and rise from being a domestic port operator in the Philippines to one of the top global port operators in the 21st century. The crane’s decommissioning marked the beginning of a new era for the Philippine shipping industry as MICT’s new and modern quay cranes, along with ongoing infrastructure developments, will enable the terminal to operate on some of the largest container vessels in the world.
