MICT managers continue to advance leadership skills
Managers of the Manila International Container Terminal continue to advance their skills as they enter Phase 2 of the MICT Leadership Development Program.
Focused on foundational leadership, the program opened with the two-day course “Lead Forward: Leader’s Practical Guide to POLC,” to deepen understanding of the four core management functions—planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. Through lectures, group discussions, and hands-on exercises, participants tackled real-life scenarios, from setting strategies to delegating roles and evaluating performance.
The program equipped managers with tools to apply leadership behaviors in daily port operations. Many participants highlighted the effectiveness of the interactive activities, particularly the “Leading” module, which helped them turn strategic plans into actionable steps.
The program builds a stronger leadership pipeline by preparing managers to guide teams, enhance operations, and drive MICT’s growth.
