MCT breaches 300,000 TEU mark

Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) attained a milestone with its handling of more than 300,000 TEUs in 2025—the highest annual throughput in the terminal’s history.

The record-setting container was discharged on December 26 from the CMA CGM vessel ASL Hong Kong.

The increase in throughput highlights MCT’s role in supporting both international and domestic trade, as well as the business community’s confidence in the terminal as a key gateway for the region’s trade.

Moving forward, MCT is well-positioned to support increasing trade volumes while continuing to deliver reliable, efficient and globally competitive port services.
