Laguna Gateway Inland Container Terminal (LGICT) has teamed up with the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry for the Supply Chain and Logistics Center (SCLC), an initiative that supports micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by enhancing their access to supply chain solutions, promoting business growth, and fostering economic resilience.

Held in Makati, the launch brought together key industry stakeholders, development partners, and government officials, marking a strong public-private collaboration. Trade Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque highlighted the urgency of improving logistics efficiency to unlock broader market access for MSMEs.

“Because we’re 7,600 islands, we need to move the product. If we want to grow sales locally, we need to strengthen the supply chain,” said Secretary Roque.

The SCLC comprises three components: a nationwide hotline for freight-related inquiries and regulatory guidance, a digital portal offering real-time logistics data and service directories, and an upcoming physical center to provide on-site assistance. These components will reduce delivery delays and enhance supply chain visibility for MSMEs.

Eighteen logistics providers including 2GO, LBC, Grab Express, DHL, FedEx, F2 Logistics, Fast Logistics Group, Maersk, Airspeed International, Flash Express, Lalamove, Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines, San Miguel Yamamura, YelloX, PMTLAI, SCMAP, and LGICT signed a pledge to streamline their services for the benefit of small businesses.

By offering logistics solutions, LGICT helps to create a sustainable and inclusive supply chain. Recognizing MSMEs as drivers of the nation’s economy, the company remains steadfast in enabling business continuity, enhancing market access, and contributing to economic progress.
