IF, VCT enhance digital learning in Iloilo
The ICTSI Foundation (IF) and Visayas Container Terminal (VCT) donated digital equipment and learning facilities to five public schools in Iloilo City last July.
At the Iloilo Convention Center, the organizations turned over 109 smart TVs for the use of 4,119 students and 192 teachers from A. Montes II Elementary School, N.J. Ingore Elementary School, Fort San Pedro National High School and R.G. Hechanova Memorial National High School.
The IF and VICT also inaugurated an e-learning hub at Jalandoni Memorial National High School. The hub is equipped with desktop computers, laptops, a smart TV, a multifunction printer, seating areas and a reading corner.
Filipina Laurena, ICTSI Foundation executive director, and John Largo, VCT chief executive officer, led the turnover ceremonies together with local government officials.
The donations support the Depart of Education’s computerization program, which promotes the use of technology in teach and learning.
