IF supports Fiesta de Intramuros, Tourism Month

IF’s John Castillo and Jessica Flores joined the Fiesta de Banda y Calesas - a parade of traditional horse-drawn carriages - in support of the Fiesta de Intramuros and Tourism Month celebration.

The ICTSI Foundation participated in the Fiesta de Intramuros and Tourism Month last September 13, 2025, through the “Fiesta de Banda y Calesas.” Calesas (traditional Philippine horse-drawn carriages) were decorated to highlight Manila's cultural heritage.

The Fiesta mainly celebrated Intramuros' patroness, Nuestra Señora de la Consolacion y Correa.

It also showcased Filipino creativity, innovation, and cultural appreciation and was participated in by 13 Intramuros-based stakeholders consisting of business establishments, offices, and schools. Delegates from each institution wore traditional Filipino attire and paraded from the Kartilya ng Katipunan to Fort Santiago, Intramuros and rode their intricately designed calesas. The fiesta was made possible through the collaboration of the San Agustin Church, Intramuros Administration (IA), City Government of Manila, and the Department of Tourism.

The event also coincided with the celebration of World Tourism Month.

The joint celebration was made possible through the collaboration of the San Agustin Church, Intramuros Administration (IA), City Government of Manila, and the Department of Tourism.

IF's support to the joint activity reflects its commitment to celebrate and preserve the Philippine's rich history.
