ICTSI, NorthPort among Manila’s top taxpayers

International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) and Manila North Harbour Port Inc. (NorthPort) were recognized as top taxpayers and investors in Manila, receiving Gawad Manileño Awards for real property tax and business tax in the corporate category. 

The awards were presented at the Metropolitan Theater as part of the city’s 455th founding anniversary celebration on June 18.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the recognition reflects the contributions of individuals and organizations that support the city’s development.

“A great city is not built by the government alone, but by citizens who care,” he said.

Benjamin Gorospe III, ICTSI senior director and global corporate tax head, and Carmelita Torres, ICTSI global corporate tax director, accepted the award on behalf of ICTSI.

Walter Enrique Ramos, NorthPort chief finance officer, and Herhona Joy Prado, NorthPort general accounting manager, received the award on behalf of NorthPort.
