ICTSI “This Girl Can” outreach inspires young survivors in Antipolo
The ICTSI Global Corporate Legal Affairs (GCLA) team and the ICTSI Foundation (IF) collaborated to host the "This Girl Can" outreach on June 6, 2025, at the Center of Hope (COH), a facility run by the Voice of the Free (VoF) Foundation in Antipolo City. The outreach brought joy, inspiration and hope to 36 survivors of abuse and human trafficking.
The day-long activity uplifted the girls and boosted their self-confidence through learning, self-discovery, and fun activities. The morning session, "Beautiful Inside," focused on healing, inner beauty, and sharing of personal affirmations. The second session shifted to "Beautiful Outside" where GCLA gave a tutorial on make-up and fashion and distributed clothes, self-care kits with makeup and hygiene products, as well as toys for younger girls. A fashion show concluded the session.
A highlight was a showcase of dance and song numbers by four groups of COH residents. The “Berth and Gantries” band, comprised of ICTSI employees from GCLA, Global Public Relations, Enterprise Process Transformation, PH Commercial, Global HR, and IF, rendered melodic and upbeat songs that perked up the event.
Atty. Lirene Mora, vice president, Global Corporate Legal Affairs, and Filipina Laurena, ICTSI Foundation executive director, headed their respective teams in organizing the outreach. Also in attendance were VoF founder Cecilia Oebanda-Pacis and Executive Director Sherryl Loseno.
The outreach reinfoces ICTSI's commitment to supporting survivors of human trafficking and child abuse.
