The ICTSI Foundation strengthened its support for the City of Manila’s healthcare programs with a donation of medicines and medical supplies to the Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center (GABMC), a city-run hospital in Tondo.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso joined Filipina Laurena, ICTSI Foundation executive director, during the turnover. Dr. Karl Oliver Laqui, GABMC medical director, received the donation on behalf of the hospital.
The Foundation’s assistance enhances GABMC’s capacity to serve more than 650,000 residents in Tondo district, home to ICTSI’s flagship operation, the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT).
Since 2023, the Foundation has provided more than ₱30 million worth of surgical equipment to GABMC, helping upgrade facilities and expand access to medical care for city residents. The latest donation supports the hospital’s daily operations and ensures continued care for indigent patients.
The initiative is part of the Foundation’s community welfare program, which promotes access to essential services in communities near ICTSI terminals nationwide.
