ICTSI Foundation renews partnerships
ICTSI Foundation (IF) signed 10 new and renewed partnership agreements during its Institutional Partners Forum on February 13 at the Solaire Resort Forum, strengthening programs across education, environment and community welfare.
The agreements support the foundation’s three focus areas: youth development, environmental protection and community welfare. IF said the partnerships allow it to deliver programs more effectively by working with organizations that have on-the-ground expertise.
Youth development
To address learning gaps, IF expanded its literacy programs in public schools.
Through its partnership with BINHI English Literacy Foundation, about 700 kindergarten to Grade 3 pupils in Tondo will receive remedial reading support, while 140 public school teachers will undergo training. Another partnership with AHA Learning Center will assist 1,200 struggling readers in Grades 4 to 6.
The foundation also renewed its technical-vocational scholarship program with Don Bosco Youth Center Tondo, supporting 500 students for the 2026–2027 school year.
Social protection initiatives were reinforced through a five-year partnership with the Child Protection Network, continuing medical and legal services for about 1,000 individuals at the Philippine General Hospital. Support for Voice of the Free was also renewed to sustain recovery programs for human trafficking survivors and expand the iFIGHT awareness campaign in Manila high schools.
IF maintained its partnership with Philippine Athletics Inc., which supports more than 1,000 athletes and coaches. The program contributed to the Philippine team’s 31-medal finish at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.
Environmental protection
Under its environmental programs, IF renewed commitments to forest restoration and biodiversity protection. Projects include planting 20,000 mangroves in Batangas with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, 228,000 mangroves in Sarangani Bay with the Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape management board, and 25,000 native trees in the Victoria-Anepahan Mountain Range with Forest Foundation Philippines.
Community welfare
The foundation also marked the 13th year of the Parola EcoPatrols project with Philippine Business for Social Progress, which continues to promote waste management and community participation in Parola and Isla Puting Bato.
IF said the forum also gave partners a chance to share updates on development issues and explore ways to align future initiatives.
