ICTSI Foundation reaffirms support for PNG partners
The ICTSI Foundation joined the 10th anniversary celebration of Ahi Investment Limited (AIL), a valued partner of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) in the operation of South Pacific International Container Terminal.
The Foundation’s support for AIL’s community efforts was highlighted during the event, which was held at the Lae International Hotel last August 2. Honorable John Rosso, Papua New Guinea deputy prime minister and minister for lands, physical planning and urbanization, praised the Foundation for strengthening ties with Ahi leaders. He also recognized Filipina Laurena, ICTSI Foundation executive director, for nurturing the partnership.
Over the past decade, AIL has invested around PGK12 million in education, health, law enforcement and environmental programs. Geogre Gware, AIL chairman, noted AIL’s growth into a landowner-driven enterprise delivering both economic and social impact.
The Foundation and SPICT also support the Ahi Hope Foundation, AIL’s corporate social responsibility arm that promotes inclusive, community-based development.
AIL’s subsidiary, Ahi Terminal Services, Ltd., holds a partial ownership stake in SPICT under the concession with International Container Terminal Services, Inc. and the Ahi Group of Companies.
