ICTSI, FICCI discuss PH logistics
International Container Terminal Services Inc. and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce Philippines Inc. recently convened industry stakeholders to discuss developments in Philippine port operations and multimodal logistics.
The forum, titled “Gateway to Trade: ICTSI Philippines Terminals and Multimodal Logistics Solutions,” focused on improving trade facilitation and strengthening supply chain connectivity through integrated port and logistics services.
ICTSI executives and Bureau of Customs representatives discussed terminal operations, customer experience and commercial strategies across the company’s Philippine terminals.
Christian Lozano, Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) chief executive officer, and Felipe Geoffrey K. De Vera, Bureau of Customs Manila International Container Port district collector, opened the session, highlighting coordination between port operators and government regulators.
Emmanuel Papagiannakis, ICTSI Group senior director and head of commercial - Philippine cluster, presented updates on terminal operations and commercial initiatives. Arvin Bundukin, Bureau of Customs deputy collector for assessment, outlined recent developments in customs processes.
Florante Ayawon, ICTSI business development manager - multimodal logistics solutions, joined Erwin Yabut, Catalyst Logistics Inc. country manager, to present logistics services to support more efficient supply chain movement.
Closing the forum were Rene Wernli, ICTSI Group vice president and head of multimodal logistics solutions, and Vishal Hathiramani, FICCI president, who emphasized continued collaboration to support the country’s logistics and trade growth.
Participants also toured MICT to view of port operations and terminal infrastructure.
