ICTSI Academy empowers future leaders in EMEA

Terminal Operations Management Program participants from the EMEA region
The ICTSI Academy under Global Corporate Human Resources successfully conducted its Terminal Operations Management (TOM) program for business units in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region from 17 to 26 April at the Hyatt Centric Levent in Istanbul, Turkey.
Designed to enhance terminal performance and efficiency across the ICTSI Group, the program trained participants to further enhance their fundamental knowledge and skills that are required to optimize terminal operations, reduce waste and risks, and achieve continuous improvement.
A diverse group of 12 participants representing various ICTSI business unit across EMEA underwent an extensive 10-day program led by Manila International Container Terminal Execution Head Alexander Laliag, who served as the subject matter expert. The program covered a wide range of topics essential to terminal operations management.
The program culminated in a final project presentation detailing each terminal’s learnings and proposed solutions to operational challenges. The presentations were evaluated by a distinguished panel composed of Hans-Ole Madsen, ICTSI senior vice president, regional head – EMEA, Nikoloz Gogoli, Batumi International Container Terminal chief executive officer; Emmanuel Papagiannakis, Adriatic Gate Container Terminal chief executive officer; and Wojciech Szymulewicz, Baltic Container Terminal chief executive offcer.
The TOM program is a testament to ICTSI Academy’s commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. By empowering its workforce with key tools and knowledge, ICTSI strengthens its position as a global leader in terminal operations.
