Ecuador’s transport minister visits Contecon Guayaquil’s ZEDE project

Roberto Luque, Ecuador’s minister of transport and public works, visited the Special Economic Development Zone (ZEDE) at Contecon Guayaquil to review the project’s progress.

The ZEDE is being developed integrate industrial, logistics and value-added activities within a single location. The facility is intended to support supply chains, attract investments and create additional trade opportunities.

Together with Guayaquil’s fifth bridge, the development is expected to form a logistics corridor connecting production centers and industrial areas with Ecuador’s main port gateway.

The visit reflects the national relevance of these infrastructure developments as well as Contecon Guayaquil’s role in supporting projects that improve the country’s trade and logistics chain.
