Contecon Manzanillo sets stage for 8th edition of charity run
Contecon Manzanillo (CMSA) will stage the eighth edition of the Contecon Charity Run on November 9, with over 4,000 runners expected to participate.
The race will feature 3K, 5K and 10K categories, open to runners of all ages and fitness levels.
“Beyond promoting sports, this event creates a lasting impact in our community by improving learning conditions for local students. This year, we are proud to offer participants with a new experience while supporting such a meaningful cause,” said José Antonio Contreras, CMSA chief executive officer.
Proceeds from the event will support educational projects in Manzanillo and benefit around 3,000 students in the community. These projects include classroom rehabilitation, school dining hall construction, lighting improvements, and other initiatives aimed at creating better learning environments.
In addition, the event also promotes Manzanillo’s potential as a sports and tourism destination. The charity run has become a regional benchmark for civic engagement and community solidarity.
