Contecon Guayaquil expands regional connectivity with COSCO service

Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA), International Container Terminal Services, Inc.’s (ICTSI) operation in the Port of Guayaquil, Ecuador, is expanding its connections to Central America and Mexico with the addition of COSCO Shipping’s weekly Mexico Central America X-press feeder service.

With calls to the ports of Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas in Mexico, Puerto Quetzal in Guatemala, and Acajutla in El Salvador, the service provides Ecuadorian exporters and importers with additional options for moving cargo across the region.

The addition broadens Contecon Guayaquil’s service offerings and strengthens its role in facilitating Ecuador’s foreign trade.
