CNC Line’s JP8 service makes ad hoc call at MCT
Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) welcomed an ad hoc vessel call of CNC Line’s Japan Philippines 8 (JP8) service, demonstrating the terminal’s international connectivity and strengthening its role in regional trade. CNC Line is the intra-Asia shortsea specialist brand of CMA CGM.
The JP8 service offers optimized transit times, reliable schedule, and dedicated capacity for both dry and refrigerated shipments from the Philippines to Japan. The route covers the ports of Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe and Moji in Japan; Shekou and Nansha in China; and Subic, Batangas, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao in the Philippines. The service brings additional net container volumes, particularly from Del Monte Philippines, and captures previously untapped market demand in the region.
The introduction of the JP8 ad hoc calls enhances MCT’s capability to support growing export and import requirements by offering more routing options and improved access to major international markets. The direct connection to Japan further strengthens Northern Mindanao’s position as a strategic trade gateway.
