CGSA usher new era of digital logistics with E-Sea Connect
Innovation continues to define Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) as the company achieves a new digital milestone with the launch of E-Sea Connect, a platform designed to provide clients with direct, digital access to key logistics and terminal automation.
The platform was developed in response to client and partner demand for timely, transparent, and easily accessible data. Through E-Sea Connect, port users can manage key operational, financial and documentation processes through a single digital interface.
"Innovation never stops at Contecon. E-Sea Connect empowers customers with real control of their operations. With more than USD 10 million now being invested in ZEDE, the company is dedicated to expanding its capacity and technology and strengthening its role as a strategic partner for Ecuador's foreign trade," explained Fohodil Galeas, CGSA commercial director.
Some key functionalities of E-Sea Connect include:

- E-Sea Pay - An electronic wallet that enables real-time allocation of credits across multiple invoices, supporting payment control and cash flow management.
- E-Sea Docs - Offers centralized access to invoices, tax transaction reports, and credit notes, allowing users to retrieve and manage documents from any location.

- E-Sea Trace - Delivers end-to-end visual traceability of cargo movements from arrival through departure, with records of events, inspections, and images available for review or download.
- E-Sea Connect supports current operations and future growth initiatives. The platform is structured to integrate with strategic projects such as the Guayaquil Banana Gateway cold storage facility and the ZEDE free trade zone, which is scheduled to commence operations in the second half of 2026.
