CGSA supports shipping line growth in 2025

Contecon Guayaquil served as a key contributor to the growth of major international shipping lines in 2025, with several of its clients recording significant increases in their global operations. These results reflect CGSA’s role as an important platform for maritime trade and its contribution to the commercial performance of its customers.

Several shipping lines operating at CGSA posted notable year-on-year growth globally, including Seaboard Marine (13 percent), Wan Hai Line Ltd (25 percent), Evergreen (36 percent), COSCO Shipping (57 percent), Pacific International Lines (100 percent) and OOCL (229 percent).

CGSA also recorded a significant boost in business activity, reflecting the ongoing evolution of commercial operations in the port and logistics industry, as well as the continuing confidence of major shipping lines in the terminal. CGSA’s performance in 2025 set a benchmark for Ecuador’s logistics and port industry, underscoring a broader phase of expansion in the logistics and port sector characterized by improved efficiency, connectivity and operational performance.
