CGSA strengthens position as Ecuador's preferred trade gateway
Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) continues to strengthen its position as the preferred gateway for Ecuador’s foreign trade as it caters to the unprecedented volume increase from the WSA2 service.
Cargo volume brought in by the WSA2 service, which connects Ecuador to Asia, has grown by 46 percent – the highest since the service launched in the country. The surge has enabled CGSA to set a record for most cargo movements in a single vessel call.
The development reflects more than just good numbers; it highlights CGSA’s successful efforts to establish a modern and world-class port facility that can adapt to market demand. It also reflects CGSA’s commitment to operational efficiency and excellence across all processes of the port’s operation.
With the increase in volume, not only has the WSA2 service exceeded expectations; it has also positioned itself as the leading cargo route to Asia. This success story is the result of the trust that both customers and shipping lines place in CGSA and its ability to turn challenges into an opportunity for growth.
The WSA2 service is jointly operated by Wan Hai Lines, Pacific International Lines, COSCO Shipping Lines, and Evergreen.
