CGSA receives maiden call of new Wan Hai vessel
Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) recently received the Wan Hai A18 at its docks. Operated by Taiwanese shipping company Wan Hai Lines, the container vessel has a capacity of 13,458 TEUs, a length of 335 meters, and a beam of 51 meters.
The Wan Hai A18 called at CGSA as part of its maiden voyage along the west coast of Latin America under the Asia–South America (ASA) service. To mark the occasion, CGSA executives Jesús Cáceres, chief executive officer; Fohodil Galeas, commercial director; and Martin Moreda, operations director, presented a plaque to the vessel’s captain.
The call underscores the role of CGSA as a key gateway in the regional trade network and reflects the continued trust of global shipping lines in the terminal’s operational capabilities. The company remains focused on strengthening its role in Ecuador’s maritime trade.
