Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) paid tribute to truck drivers by hosting its inaugural Truck Drivers’ Fair to recognizethe essential role of truck drivers in Ecuador’s logistics chain.

The fair brought together drivers and trucking companies for a day of wellness and recreation, complete with free health services, entertainment and giveaways.

“Truck drivers serve as a critical link in Ecuador’s foreign trade, connecting production centers with ports and international markets every day. This event shows our commitment to the people who help keep the country’s supply chains moving,” said Fohodil Galeas, CGSA chief commercial officer.

Building a strong relationship with the trucking community is an important part of delivering a more efficient, reliable and customer-focused logistics ecosystem. With 11,000 to 15,000 trucks entering the terminal every week, Contecon Guayaquil continuously invests for operational excellence, safety and process optimization, leading to an average truck turnaround time of just 40 minutes.

With the launch of the first edition of the Truck Drivers’ Fair, Contecon Guayquil has established a new platform for engagement with one of its most important partners. The terminal looks to continue creating value beyond its gates by supporting the people who make trade possible and by strengthening Ecuador’s logistics competitiveness.
