Bauan International Port, Inc. (BIPI) was conferred the 2025 Zero Damage Achievement Award by K Line during the carrier’s Asia Damage Prevention Meeting from November 13 to 14 in Bangkok, Thailand. The award recognizes the terminal’s exceptional RORO vessel operations that ensure the safety of cargo.
The Zero Damage award is a key recognition from K Line, presented to ports and operators that consistently adhere to the company’s rigorous benchmarks for safety, damage prevention, work discipline and overall shipper satisfaction.
K Line’s annual safety event gathers RORO stevedores from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Japan to exchange practices that promote safer vessel and cargo handling operations. Now on its 10th year, the meeting forms part of K Line’s efforts to strengthen damage prevention across its network.
Shin Miyawaki, K-Line Thailand Car Carrier general manager, opened the sessions, which covered battery electric vehicles and high-and-heavy cargo operations. Participants were given the opportunity to observe a demonstration of the new six-wheel dolly towing system, while Toyota Motor Asia shared updated vessel operation guidelines.
