Basra Gateway Terminal keeps general cargo moving amid regional challenges

Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) handled four general cargo vessels and more than 100,000 freight tons in October, maintaining operations amid regional challenges and uncertainty in the shipping industry.

The activity reflects BGT’s continued role in keeping cargo moving and supporting trade through Umm Qasr despite the difficult operating environment.

BGT remains prepared to accommodate increases in general cargo volumes while maintaining service for its customers.
