Batu Ampar Container Terminal (BACT), a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) in Batam, Indonesia, held its first town hall on August 25 at the Swiss-Belhotel Harbour Bay to align employees on priorities as the terminal enters a new phase under the ICTSI Group.

Sky Huang, BACT chief executive officer, said stability remains a key focus and reaffirmed BACT’s commitment to improving operations and fostering long-term growth: “Our strength lies in our people, and by working together, we are laying the foundation for a stronger future.”

Basori Alwi, PT Batam Terminal Petikemas President Director, encouraged employees to see the transition as an opportunity for growth and shared success.

Ferdinand Co, BACT human resources head, outlined plans for a gradual transition in the coming months, assuring employees that operations will continue as usual and that HR will support them throughout the process.

Restrimaya Susiwi, director, closed the program by emphasizing the importance of balancing productivity with workplace safety.

The event ended with a prayer and a group photo. The town hall underscored a collaborative spirit as BACT moves forward with its people and community at the heart of its plans.
