AGCT welcomes new CEO
Adriatic Gate Container Terminal held its first management safety walk of the year this February, led by newly appointed Chief Executive Officer Iñigo Nuñez Mendibe.

The activity served as an opportunity for AGCT’s leadership to engage with frontline personnel and review on-site safety practices, reinforcing the terminal’s focus on maintaining strict safety standards through visible leadership.
Iñigo assumed leadership of AGCT in February, bringing more than four years of experience within the ICTSI Group. He joined ICTSI in 2021 as senior manager under the Global Commercial department and was later assigned to Papua New Guinea as commercial head for ICTSI South Pacific. He was also part of the implementation team for Durban Gateway Terminal and served as head of strategy at Manila NorthPort in the Philippines prior to his appointment in AGCT.
“I am both humbled and excited to lead AGCT into its next chapter. Looking forward to working together with the team as well as customers, port users, partners and authorities to reinforce the terminal’s strategic role in the Adriatic,” said Iñigo.
AGCT thanks former CEO Emmanuel Papagiannakis for his leadership since 2019 and wishes him the best in his new role as senior director and head of Philippine commercial.
