AGCT leaders sharpen skills to drive performance

The ICTSI Global Academy, the training arm of Global Corporate Human Resources, recently held its Driving Performance Program for first-line leaders at Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) in Rijeka, Croatia.

The five-day program, conducted from September 15 to 19, brought together 14 leaders from Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Commercial, Procurement, IT, and Health, Safety, Security and Environment. Designed to strengthen leadership capabilities, the program focused on improving revenue, productivity, cost management, and safety. Participants worked through case studies and cross-functional workshops to develop practical short-term initiatives, or “Quick Wins,” to enhance terminal performance.

Hans-Ole Madsen, ICTSI senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa, closed the program by highlighting the role of leadership in sustaining the company’s growth.

“Every new challenge is not something to fear, but an opportunity to step up, innovate, and deliver quality service to our clients,” Madsen said. “Continuous improvement is at the heart of what we do, and it begins with leaders like you.”

Participants committed to implement their Quick Wins by December 2025, translating the program’s lessons into measurable results.

Driving Performance is one of ICTSI Global Academy’s core initiatives to equip frontline leaders with skills and tools to improve operations across ICTSI terminals.
