AGCT continues environmental tradition

This autumn, employees of Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) once again demonstrated their commitment to environmental responsibility by cleaning the beach and seabed just south of the terminal.
This year’s efforts centered on a popular local spot known as Dog Beach, a small but well-loved stretch of coastline frequented by residents—many of whom bring their dogs for a swim and summer relaxation. With a direct view of AGCT’s Berth 2, the beach offers a unique perspective of terminal operations, making it a favorite among locals and port enthusiasts alike. AGCT volunteers collected waste along the shoreline, helping keep the area safe and enjoyable for both people and pets.
The cleanup extended below the surface as well. AGCT employees who are certified divers partnered with a local diving club to remove waste from the seabed just off the beach. All collected materials were sorted and properly discarded.
The initiative reflects AGCT’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection and community support. Underwater cleanups around the terminal began eight years ago to raise awareness and encourage responsible behavior toward the environment among both employees and the broader community.
