CGSA, Ecuador Navy sign deal to provide hospital supplies

Contecon Guayaquil (CGSA) has signed an assistance and cooperation agreement with the Ecuadorian National Navy to provide health supplies to hospitals across Ecuador.

CGSA has pledged to periodically provide, based on availability, health supplies for the Navy to distribute to hospitals, including the Guayaquil Naval Hospital, which has been treating COVID-19 patients.

“Aware of the impact that this pandemic has generated in the country, it is imperative to collaborate with institutions that ensure the safety of the country and its citizens.  Only through cooperation will we be able to get out of this serious health crisis,” said José Antonio Contreras, CGSA General Manager.

The Company is also implementing strict health protocols, including mandatory temperature checks and disinfection in terminal entrances to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the unhampered operation of the port.
