Kribi Multipurpose Terminal (KMT) has partnered with the Kribi Health District in Cameroon to combat malaria and other diseases affecting children.

In line with KMT's sustainable development policy, a campaign was organized to provide medical assistance to members of the Eboundja community. KMT employees accompanied a medical team last July to attend to the health needs of the community as part of the Cameroon’s national measles and rubella vaccination period.

Consultation posts were set up to provide 102 children and 50 adults with medical care. For most patients examined, the most common condition encountered by the medical team was malaria. Those who were diagnosed with the disease were provided the appropriate care and medications.

Overall, the health campaign had a huge impact on Eboundja and the surrounding communities. KMT looks to continue this health initiative as part of its corporate social responsibility and help Kribi improve the health and education of its citizens.
