MICT employees get free eyeglasses

The Health and Wellness Team of Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) distributed close to 150 regular and safety prescription eyeglasses to employees last March under the Free Eyeglasses Program. 
 
By helping employees to see better, the program aims to mitigate the risk of accidents caused by impaired vision.
 
Identified employees from the Engineering Department received safety prescription glasses, which are designed to safeguard against fine particles, impact hazards, fumes and harmful radiation. 
 
Plans are underway for another round of eye examinations that would cater to the second batch of employees.
