PICT is located at the east wharf of the Karachi Port – located between the towns of Keamari and Saddar, and close to the main business district and several industrial areas. It lies on a strategic point along the 600-mile long coastline which stretches from the straits of Hormuz to the border with India: an ideal location close to major shipping routes such as the Straits of Hormuz.

PICT is part of the larger Karachi Port in the country’s largest metropolitan city, and capital of Sindh province. Hosting the nation’s main seaport and financial district, Karachi is a major exporter of cement, machinery, chemicals, and textiles. PICT’s enhanced productivity, technology, and standards help preserve the top-rate competitiveness of another Pakistani export: pure, extra-long-grain aromatic Basmati rice.

  • PICT handles 85% of the Arabian/Persian Gulf market including industrial scrap which are already given clearance via PICT gate
  • Efficient and cost-effective freight trains dedicated to serve landlocked markets
  • Multiple CFS facilities available on dock
  • First IMS-certified container terminal in Pakistan
